ISLAMABAD: A fire erupted in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building on Thursday evening, however, it was immediately brought under control and did not cause any casualities or damage.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a statement that a small fire erupted because of short circuiting in the equipment being used by Capital Administration Authority (CDA) staff while dismantling an old air conditioning plant in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building.
Responding to the media questions regarding the fire in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said:

Ministry’s emergency response immediately kicked in and the fire was extinguished with the help of Fire Brigade, she added.
Location of fire incident
Baloch said that the location of the fire incident was outside the main building of the Ministry and therefore no damage has been reported to infrastructure or any record.
