LOS ANGELES: While battling a brush fire in Southern California, a firefighting helicopter crashed Sunday night, killing one or more, the authorities claimed.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened in Cabazon, an unincorporated area in Riverside County that is located about 140 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.
The West Coast flagship station of the ABC television network stated that authorities indicated the crash resulted in one or more fatalities. Still, there was no immediate information on the number of crew members aboard the helicopter or whether any survived. —Xinhua/APP
