First Flight Carrying Over 200 Students Lands in Karachi from Kyrgyzstan

KARACHI: The first flight carrying around 205 stranded students in Kyrgyzstan has arrived at Jinnah International Airport from Bishkek today’s morning, local media reported.

As per the details, the students were warmly received by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah.

The parents and relatives of Pakistani students belonging to different towns and cities of Sindh, were also present on the occasion.

Talking to reporters at Karachi Airport, Murad Ali Shah stated that around 205 students including 150 boys and 55 girls, have so far been returned while the remaining 180 will soon be brought back.

The CM stated that out of 205 students who returned from Kyrgyzstan, 22 from Hyderabad, 99 belong to Karachi, 15 from Naushehro Feroze, 13 from Khairpur, 12 each from Sukkur and Nawabshah, 5 each from Badin, Dadu, Mirpurkhas and Jacobabad, 3 from Tando Adam, 2 each from Kashmore and Jamshoro and one each from Kandhkot, Tharparkar and Panoaqil.

Murad Ali Shah stated that following the incident that happened with Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was contacted and the provincial government made flight arrangements for their return.

The students thanked Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah for raising voices and helping the students in Kyrgyzstan.
