Fog Disrupts Flight Operation at Lahore Airport

LAHORE: Dense fog disrupted flight operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore on Sunday.

According to the authorities at the Lahore airport, visibility reduced to 50 meters on the runway due to thick fog which led to rescheduling of several flights. The airport officials said that three flights were instructed to land at Islamabad Airport while 12 others were delayed.

Lahore airport situation

A Lahore-bound flight PA471 from Jeddah was instructed to land in Islamabad. Another Lahore-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK204 from Dubai was also instructed to land at Islamabad airport. A Lahore-bound PIA flight PK302 from Kuwait was delayed by two hours. Similarly, a Lahore-bound flight PA402 from Karachi was delayed by one hour and forty-five minutes, according to the officials.
