Foreign Leaders to Attend Inauguration of Iran’s President-elect Pezeshkian

TEHRAN, Iran: Seventy foreign delegates, including 10 presidents and prime ministers, are set to participate in the inauguration of Iranian President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday. The official IRNA news agency reported that the event will also see the attendance of 15 parliament speakers, 16 vice presidents, deputy prime ministers, deputy parliament speakers, and ministers, as well as 17 special envoys.

In addition to these dignitaries, chiefs or representatives of various international bodies and foreign ambassadors residing in Tehran will be present at the swearing-in ceremony. The ceremony is scheduled to take place in the Iranian Parliament building, where President-elect Pezeshkian will take an oath to defend the Constitution.

Pezeshkian was elected president in the runoff elections held on July 5. His inauguration marks the beginning of his term, during which he will aim to address various national and international challenges facing Iran.
