GAZA: The Israeli army admitted on Wednesday that its four soldiers were killed in southern Gaza. According to media reports, three Israeli soldiers were severely injured and two others moderately wounded in the Strip.

According to Arab media, Israeli soldiers were killed by an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in Rafah, in the south of Gaza.  Israeli troops invaded Rafah on May 6, according to media reports.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah blamed Israel for the simultaneous explosion of pager devices used by group members that killed around eight people and injured over 2,750 others on Tuesday, warning Israel will be punished.

“We hold the Israeli enemy completely responsible for this criminal aggression,” Hezbollah said in a statement, saying that Israel “will certainly receive its just punishment for this sinful aggression”.

Hundreds of pagers used by Hezbollah members exploded across Lebanon, the group blamed on Israel.

Among the dead were the son of a Hezbollah legislator and the 10-year-old daughter of a member of the Lebanese group.
