Four Pakistani Soldiers Martyred in Terrorist Attack Along Pakistan-Iran Border

RAWALPINDI: In a tragic incident, four Pakistani soldiers were martyred in a terrorist attack on a routine border patrol along the Pakistan-Iran border in Jalgai Sector, district Kech, ISPR said in a press release issued here on Saturday.

According to ISPR, the attack was carried out by a group of terrorists operating from the Iranian side.

The martyred soldiers, identified as Naik Shair Ahmed, Lance Naik Muhammad Asghar, Sepoy Muhammad Irfan, and Sepoy Abdur Rasheed, were critically injured in the attack and later succumbed to their injuries, ISPR said.

Security at Pak-Iran border

The Pakistan Army has condemned the attack and has initiated necessary contact with the Iranian side to take effective action against the terrorists responsible for the attack and to prevent such incidents in the future.

The Pakistan Army has assured that every possible measure will be taken to protect the country’s borders and to ensure the safety of its citizens.
