Four PSL Players Fined for Violating Code of Conduct

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board has fined four players, including Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan and Fazal Haq Farooqui, for violating the cricket rules and regulations during Pakistan Super League-8 (PSL) matches.

Fazal Haq Farooqui was found guilty of breaching the code of conduct in the cricket match against Qalandars when he used foul language and verbal abuse after dismissing a player in the 19th. He was fined 10 percent of his cricket match fee.

The Pakistan Cricket Board also fined Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan, Multan Sultan’s player Shaun Masood and Tim David for breaching the code of conduct. Tim David expressed his displeasure over not declaring a ball wide, he didn’t accept the mistake, and the match officials upheld the decision of the on-field umpires, while Islamabad United Captain Shadab Khan objected to a ball being declared wide and argued with the umpire. He was fined 10% of his cricket match fee.

Multan Sultan’s player Shan Masood objected to the umpire’s decision not to declare a short-pitched ball wide during batting. It is to be noted that PSL players who breach Level 1 of the Code of Conduct will be fined 10 percent of their match fees.

The PSL is a professional 20-Twenty cricket league contested by six teams representing six cities of Pakistan. The league was founded in 2015 with five teams by the PCB.
