RAWALPINDI: Four security personnel of the Pakistan army embraced martyrdom in a terrorist activity from across Pakistan Iran border in Chukab Sector, district Panjgur of Pakistan’s Balochistan province, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.
According to ISPR, terrorists attacked security forces from across Pakistan Iran border in Chukab Sector in the Panjgur district. Four security forces personnel have embraced martyrdom in the attack, ISPR said.
The terrorists used Iranian soil to target a convoy of security forces patrolling along the border, ISPR said in a press release.
The military media-wing said that the Iranian side has been asked to hunt down the terrorists on their side.
Four terrorists killed in Balochistan: ISPR
Earlier, four terrorists were gunned down in a shootout during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan, said the military’s media wing on Wednesday.
ISPR stated the operation was launched to clear a “hideout of terrorists, involved in firing incidents on civilians and security forces besides planting improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on M-8, in general area Talsar, Hoshab” of Balochistan.
ISPR said that the security forces were deployed through a helicopter after the terrorist hideout was located with the help of continuous surveillance, intelligence, and reconnaissance of the area.
“While the establishment of blocking positions to block the escape routes was underway, four terrorists resorted to firing on the security forces,” ISPR said. It added that all four terrorists were killed during the heavy exchange of fire.
A cache of ammunition and arms, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs), were also recovered.
Those martyred soldiers include Sepoy Asad Ali age 25 years, Resident of Village Hamrota Tehsil Baloch District Sudhnoti,
Lance Naik Fareed Ullah Khan Age 29 yrs, Resident of Village Pahar Khel Pakka Tehsil & District Lakki Marwat, Lance Naik Abdul Razzaq, age 31 years, Resident of Village Khawha Khel Lakki Marwat, and Lance Naik Muhammad Younas Khan, age 24 yrs, Resident of Bachakhan Ahmed Zai Tehsil & District Lakki Marwat.
