Four Terrorists Killed in Operation in Northwest Pakistan: ISPR

RAWALPINDI:  At least four terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation carried out by the security forces Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said a military announcement on Friday.

The army’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), reported that security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Semu Wanda, Lakki Marwat district on the presence of terrorists on the night of October 19/20, 2023.

During the operation, an intense exchange of gunfire occurred between security forces and the terrorists. As a result, four terrorists were neutralized, and one terrorist was injured and subsequently apprehended by the security forces, said the statement.

The ISPR statement further said that these terrorists had been actively involved in numerous acts of terrorism against security forces, including the targeted killing of innocent civilians. A cache of arms, equipment, and explosives was also recovered during the operation.

Local residents of the area expressed their appreciation for the operation and voiced their full support for the elimination of the menace of terrorism.
