VILNIUS, Lithuania: France has announced to provide Ukraine with SCALP long-range cruise missiles to help the country’s forces strike targets deep behind Russian lines, said President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday.
Arriving at a NATO summit that focused on Ukraine’s battle against Russia, French president said Paris would send the SCALP missile, already supplied by the UK under the name “Storm Shadow”.
President Macron said the new missile delivery was designed to allow Ukraine to strike at Russian forces “in depth” during its counteroffensive to liberate its territory.
