FTO Coordinator Terms Africa’s Potential as Golden Opportunity for Pakistan’s Growth

ISLAMABAD: The Coordinator of the Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO), on Tuesday, highlighted Africa’s immense potential and the golden opportunity for Pakistan to achieve unprecedented growth and expand its horizons.

According to a news release, while speaking at a seminar on “Pakistan and potential of Africa” organized by Gold Ring Economic Forum, a strategic think tank, Meher Kashif Younis, said the African continent has immense possibilities for our business community.

Younis said that Africa is undergoing a significant economic transformation, with various countries showing remarkable progress in many sectors.

He believed that the continent’s burgeoning population, technological advancements, and increasing urbanization had created a robust market hungry for services and goods, ensuring a perfect environment for Pakistani businesses to introduce their technologies, expertise, and products.

Iftikhar Ali claimed Pakistan has much to offer African nations with its innovative solutions and entrepreneurial spirit.

He added, “From healthcare and agriculture to renewable energy and technology, our businesses can contribute and collaborate to the development of Africa while reaping substantial benefits.”

Harnessing Africa’s abundant potential, Pakistani enterprises have a significant role in driving its development while ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.

As a business leader, he urged all stakeholders to embark on daring endeavors, explore uncharted markets, and position Pakistan as a robust economic partner in Africa.

He emphasized the value of promoting collaboration, forging connections, and working together to create a prosperous future for both countries.

Meher Kashif, the Chairman of the Kyrgyzstan Trade House in Pakistan, emphasized that consumers in Africa greatly value goods and services that are both high quality and incorporate cutting-edge technology.

He also highlighted how collaborations can serve as a gateway for market entry, risk mitigation, an improved understanding of the local business landscape, and the customization of products and services to align with African demands. —APP
