PESHAWAR: The funeral prayer of Pakistan Army’s martyred captain Hussain Jahangir and Havaldar Shafiqullah was offered at Peshawar Garrison on Sunday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release.
These brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army have embraced martyrdom in an intelligence-based operation in the Hassan Khel area of Peshawar district. Corps Commander Peshawar, civil and military officers along with the public attended the funeral.
Dead bodies of the martyrs have been sent to their native areas, where they will be laid to rest with full military honour.
The armed forces of Pakistan, along with the nation, are determined for the complete elimination of the menace of terrorism, ISPR reaffirmed.
Earlier, five terrorists were killed by Pakistan’s security forces while three terrorists were injured during an intelligence-based operation in the Hassan Khel area of the Peshawar district.
According to ISPR, the operation was conducted on the reported presence of terrorists and during the conduct of the operation, security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location.
However, in the intense exchange of fire, Captain Hussain Jahangir, aged 25 and a resident of Rahim Yar Khan district, leading his troops from the front, and another brave soldier, Havildar Shafiq Ullah, aged 36 and from Karak district embraced martyrdom.
