ISLAMABAD: Funeral prayers of Sepoy Basit Ali Shaheed (age 24, resident of Peshawar) and Sepoy Waqas Ali Shah Shaheed (age 26, resident of Charsadda), who embraced shahadat during an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in the general area Tirah, Khyber district on April 25 were offered at their respective hometowns.
Both Shaheeds were laid to rest with full military honour, said a press release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations.
A large number of serving, retired military and civil officials, relatives and people from all walks of life attended the funeral prayers.
“Armed Forces of Pakistan remain committed to eliminating the scourge of terrorism from every corner of the motherland. These sacrifices of our comrades only strengthen our resolve to eliminate this menace, InshaAllah,” the ISPR said.
