Commenting on the case, DPO (District Police Officer) Mohammad Naveed had said that the accused intended to shift the arms to Lahore in the name of a private security company. He added that the security company provided licenses for 13 rifles, which the government of Balochistan issued, and a letter has been dispatched to the home department for verification of these licenses.
However, they received licenses for only four rifles and licenses for the rest were provided, he said.
The senior official further said that another accused, Ijaz, who has been arrested, confessed that these unlicensed arms were destined for Zaman Park. Ijaz also confessed that these arms were kept at the place of Ali Amin Gandapur,” DPO added.
