TASHKENT: At least two people were killed and one person sustained injuries in a gas explosion in a two-story residential building in the central Sirdarya region of Uzbekistan, the regional administration in Srdarya told media on Monday.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday morning. The initial reports say the explosion occurred due to a gas leakage resulting in the killing of two people lives while injuring another one.
Investigation after the explosion
The authorities initiated an investigation after the incident to know about the safety measures and other possible safety and security issues. According to media reports the explosion was heard n the surrounding area and also damaged the nearby two apartments partially.
