Gaza Completely Isolated After Communication Blackout as Israeli Shelling Intensifies

GAZA: Palestinian authorities said that internet and mobile phone service in Gaza has been cut off because of heavy and brutal Israeli bombardment, Arab media reported on Friday.

In a statement via social media, the Palestinian authorities said there is no net and phone service in Gaza. NetBlocks, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that monitors internet censorship also confirmed that there was a “collapse in connectivity” in the Gaza Strip. Arab media reported that Israeli offensive intensified in the during the several hours.

“In the last hours, we could hear heavy strikes and intensive artillery bombs at the same time, which is something rare – which means the strength of the fire is much more than earlier. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said it is unable to get in contact with its teams in the Gaza strip via its social media account.

Marwan Jilani, official of the Palestine Red Crescent Society said from Ramallah in the occupied West Bank that the health officials also lost complete contact with its members in the Gaza strip about two hours ago.

Marwan Jilani said that they were extremely worried and concerned for their colleagues in Gaza. He further said that just before the communications went down, Israeli brutal attacks were reported about two hospitals in Gaza.
