GAZA CITY: The death toll in Gaza from Israel’s military offensive has surpassed 32,300, mostly women and children, with at least 107 Palestinians killed and 176 injured in the past 24 hours alone, according to the Gaza health ministry.

Since October 7 last year, a total of 32,333 Palestinians have been killed and 74,694 injured in the ongoing Israeli onslaught, the ministry reported on Monday.

The statement highlighted the dire humanitarian situation, emphasizing that many victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads, inaccessible to rescuers.

The Israeli offensive, now in its 171st day, has led to internal displacement for 85% of Gaza’s population. Acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine persist, while 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, as reported by the UN.

Israel faces accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice, with an interim ruling in January urging Tel Aviv to cease genocidal acts and ensure the provision of humanitarian aid to Gaza civilians.
