GAZA: The bloodiest ever war in the besieged Gaza Strip that broke out exactly six months ago has taken an appalling human toll. Six months since the outbreak of the bloodiest conflict in Gaza, the toll of human suffering continues to mount.
According to Gaza’s health ministry, at least 33,175 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in the ongoing Israeli military relentless bombardment in the besieged Gaza Strip since October 7.
The Israeli army has reported approximately 600 troops killed since the onset of the war, with 260 of them perishing within Gaza itself since ground operations commenced on October 27.
Further north, in Lebanon, tensions have escalated with Hezbollah rocket and missile attacks, resulting in the deaths of eight civilians and ten Israeli soldiers. The conflict has displaced tens of thousands of people in southern Lebanon, adding to the humanitarian crisis.
The Israeli military has documented 9,100 rockets fired into Israel from Gaza since the conflict began, prompting the mobilization of 300,000 reservists, a notable 17 percent of whom are women.
Among the Palestinian casualties, the health ministry in Ramallah reports an additional 459 fatalities in the occupied West Bank.
The violence has extended beyond Gaza and the West Bank, with Israeli fire in Lebanon claiming the lives of at least 359 persons, mostly civilians. Additionally, Israeli strikes in Syria have resulted in the deaths of 23 Hezbollah fighters and seven Iranian Revolutionary Guards, highlighting the regional scope of the conflict.
Israel has reported striking 32,000 targets in Gaza from the air and over 1,400 targets in Lebanon, utilizing artillery, rockets, and tanks. Despite these military actions, the situation remains volatile, with continued rocket fire across borders and a persistent threat of further escalation.
