RIYADH: The Gulf States leaders are applauded for launching relief aid campaigns towards victims of the devastating quake that hit Turkiye and Syria last Monday, an official of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) said on Friday.
In a press release, GCC Secretary General Jassem Al-Budaiwi affirmed that the relief aid campaigns launched by members of the council would hopefully lessen the impact and suffering of those affected by this tragic event.
Relief operation in quake-hit Turkiye and Syria
He commended the official and popular response towards the relief aid campaigns, reflecting the sincere humanitarian feeling directed to those affected by the destructive natural disaster in Turkiye and Syria.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Arabia search and rescue team has arrived in Turkey to participate in the relief efforts of earthquake victims in Syria and Turkiye with KSrelief.
The Saudi rescue and search rescue team arrived in Turkiye equipped with machinery, medical supplies, equipment, pumps, technical tools, and others to proceed with its humanitarian mission and contribute to earthquake victims’ rescue operations.
