GCC Secretary-General Receives Ambassador of Peru to Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi has received the Ambassador of Peru to Saudi Arabia, Carlos Zapata at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.

According to the SPA, during the meeting, they reviewed ties between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Peru and discussed several regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The ambassador of Peru stressed the need to follow up and strengthen the ties between the GCC and the Peru in light of the Framework Agreement for Trade, Economic, Investment and Technical Cooperation, which was signed in October 2012. He said that the agreement is a key pillar of the strategic partnership between the two parties.

The meeting comes within the framework of continuous efforts to boost cooperation between the two sides.
