RIYADH: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Albudaiwi met with Dr. Raja Al Marzouqi, the newly-appointed general coordinator for talks and chief of the negotiating team of the GCC at the headquarters in Riyadh, Arab media reported on Saturday.
GCC wants trade with world
During the interaction, the Secretary General felicitated the GCC General Coordinator for Talks on this confidence entrusted to him by the Ministerial Council, wishing him a success in carrying out his tasks and assignments to further advance Gulf trade talks in a manner that meets the goals of the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council nations and the peoples of the GCC states.
They also discussed the need of benefiting from the Gulf successes during the blessed course of the council and the skill of the GCC nations to play a key role as an economic device.
They also noted that this can be done via strategic partnerships, relationship and free trade talks with a number of states, regional blocs, and other global economic groups, and strengthening the means to further accelerate its pace in a way that contributes to enhancing the process of Gulf economic integration and growth, through visions, plans, and development programs in the GCC nations.
