RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan Army gentlemen cadet was martyred on Friday when banned terrorists, Khwarij, attacked a mosque in northwestern Lakki Marwat district, the military’s media wing said in a statement.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Gentleman Cadet Arif Ullah, who was undergoing training at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul and was on leave in his hometown, was present at the mosque offering Maghrib prayers at the time of the attack.
As soon as Khwarij started firing, he immediately responded and fought the Khwarij bravely. However, during the incident, 19-year-old Gentleman Cadet Arif Ullah, a resident of Lakki Marwat, embraced Shahadat, sacrificing his life to save many innocent worshippers.
The ISPR statement further reads that such heinous and cowardly act of attacking worshippers in the mosque while praying reflects the true ideology of these Khwarij.
Valiant act of a young Gentleman Cadet is a testament of spirit of sacrifice and dedication of Security Forces’ personnel to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices further strengthen our resolve.
