BERLIN: German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will visit Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan from September 15 to 17, local media reported. He will attend the “Central Asia-Germany” summit in the region. According to Steffen Hebestreit, the official representative of the German government, this will be Scholz’s first trip to Central Asia. The official said that Olaf Scholz will be accompanied by a “large business delegation” aimed at deepening cooperation with nations in the region.
He will hold bilateral talks with the presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. According to media reports, the German Chancellor will participate in the second “Central Asia-Germany” (5+1) summit, which will take place in Kazakhstan.
