ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany on Sunday organized a Charity Christmas Market in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. The event featured fun, shopping, and authentic German delicacies to celebrate Christmas in the traditional German style, including homemade cookies, cakes, and wreaths prepared by the team of the German Embassy in Islamabad.
About thirty stalls displayed an extensive range of Christmas articles, children’s toys, glassware, handicrafts, candles, dry fruit, leather goods, advent wreaths, metal ornaments, and other decoration items.
Singing children enthral visitors of charity Christmas market
Several children’s singer groups performed throughout the afternoon at the occasion. The “Weihnachtsmann” also appeared during the event and distributed sweets among children who have been good all year.

On the occasion, the Ambassador of the German Republic to Pakistan, Alfred Grannas, said: “With this market, we want to welcome the happiest time of the year – particularly for all those who are living away from their homes. Christmas is all about sharing our joy. This is why the earnings from this market will be donated to families in need.”
