BERLIN: Hosting Euro 2024 in Germany amid global tension poses significant security challenges. From the threat of hooligans to potential terror and cyberattacks, organizers face a daunting task in safeguarding fans and players. With 2.7 million fans expected, spread across 10 stadiums and numerous fan zones, security forces are gearing up for an immense operation.
Germany has even invited 300 security experts from participating nations to monitor the situation closely. Enhanced measures include intensified border controls, increased police presence at transportation hubs, and cooperation with international partners like French gendarmes.
