BERLIN: Germany on Sunday called for a clear reaction from the international community after the Taliban government in Afghanistan banned women from working in non-governmental organizations (NGOs) after prohibiting them from getting the university education.
Germany to try clear reaction
Taking to Twitter, the German foreign minister Annalena Baerbock said that those who exclude girls and young women from education, work, and public life only ruin their country. Germany will try to get a clear reaction from the international community.
The latest move comes less than a week after the Taliban government prevented women from attending universities, triggering global outrage and protests in some cities in the country. – AFP/APP
