ISLAMABAD: After experiencing an increase of over Rs 3500 in the last five days, the price of 24 karat gold per tola saw a further rise by Rs 100, settling at Rs 215,300 on Thursday compared to the previous day’s price of Rs 215,200.
According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the rates for 10 grams of 24 karat gold also rose by Rs 85 to reach Rs 184,585 from the previous day’s rate of Rs 184,500. Meanwhile, the rates for 10 grams of 22 karat gold increased to Rs 169,203 from the previous day’s rate of Rs 169,124.
However, the rates for per tola and ten grams of silver remained unchanged, staying constant at Rs 2,570 and Rs 2,203.36, respectively.
Gold Price in the International Market
Similar to the local bullion market, the rates for the precious metal in the international market also rose by $3, settling at $2,051 per ounce from $2,048 the previous day.
Following a significant decline of over $35 in the first and second weeks of February, the price of gold in the international market increased by over $20 per ounce in the last few days. The price of gold in the local market is largely influenced by international market prices.
