Gold Price Declines by Rs.200 to Settle at Rs208,200 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After an upward trend for the last three days, the price of the precious metal turned around on Saturday as the per tola price of 24 karats of gold went down by Rs 200 and was sold at Rs.208,200 compared to its sale at Rs. 208,400 the previous day.

According to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karats of gold also depreciated by Rs.172 to Rs.178,498 from Rs.178,670, while the price of 10 grams of 22 karats decreased to Rs.163,623 from Rs. 163,780 last day.

The price of per tola and ten-gram silver remained unchanged and remained stable at Rs.2480 and Rs.2,126.20, respectively.

Gold Price at International Market

Unlike the local market, the price of the yellow plate in the international market went up by $8 per ounce to settle at $1925 from $1917. Mostly the price at the local market goes up when the rates of the precious metal increase in the international market.

Since June first, Pakistan’s local market observed a decrease in the price and came down from the highest ever (2,40,000) per tola price to below Rs 2,0,6000 last Tuesday.
