ISLAMABAD: Fluctuation in the prices of the precious metal continued as the per tola rate of 24 karats of gold went down by Rs 2,500 and was available in the market at Rs.222,200 on Monday compared to Rs 224,700 on the last trading day.
According to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported, the price of 10 grams of 24 karats of gold also decreased by Rs.2,143 to settle at Rs.190,501 from its previous price of Rs. 192,644 whereas 10 grams of 22 karats of gold was available at the market at Rs.174,626,
Unlike the yellow plate, the price per tola white plate (silver) went up by Rs.50 to Rs2,800 whereas that of ten-gram silver increased by Rs.42.86 to 2,400.54.
Gold Price in International Market
Like the local market, the price of the precious metal in the international market also witnessed a decline and depreciated by $16 to settle at $1,959 per ounce against $1,975 on the last trading day.
The price of the precious metal remained volatile both at local and international levels. In the local market, it reached the highest ever at Rs, 2,40,000 per tola in May 2023, which went down to Rs 2,04500 in the second week of July.
