Gold Price Turns Around, Down by Rs. 500 to Settle at Rs. 219,300 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After continuous increase for the last couple of days, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold turned around and went down by Rs. 500 on Saturday to settle at Rs. 219,300 compared to Rs.219,800 the last day. 

Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the rates for the 10 grams of 24 karats of the precious metal also decreased by Rs. 429 to close at Rs.188,014 from its last day price of Rs.188,443, while the price for the 10 grams of the 22 karats of the yellow plate went down to Rs. 172,347 as compared to Rs. 172,740, the previous day.

Like the last couple of days, the rates for per tola and ten grams of Silver remained constant at Rs. 2,650 and 2,271.94, respectively. 

Gold Price in International Market

Like the local bullion market, the price of the yellow plate in the international market also went down by $2 to settle at $2,072 per ounce against its last-day price of $.2,074 per ounce.

The price of gold in the local gold market is usually influenced by the rates in the international market and sometimes due to the change in the value of the local currency. The last couple of days (except Saturday) observed a slight increase in the price of the yellow metal in the international market, affecting the local bullion market.
