ISLAMABAD: Fluctuation continued in the price of gold during the last two weeks, where rates of the precious metal are recorded in the range of Rs210,000 to Rs2,12000 per tola. On Tuesday, the per tola price of 24 karats of the precious metal witnessed an increase by Rs.1,000 and was available in the market at Rs 212,800 against its sale at Rs 211,800 on Monday.
Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the rates of 10 grams of 24 karats of gold also went up by Rs 858 to settle at Rs 182,442 from its previous day’s sale of Rs 181,584 whereas the prices of 10 grams of 22 karats of the yellow plate increased to Rs 167,238 from its last day rates of Rs 166,452.
However, like the last couple of days, the price per tola and ten grams of the white plate (Silver) remained constant and observed no change to settle at Rs 2,580 and 2,211.93, respectively.
Gold Price in International Market.
Like the local bullion market, the price of the precious metal in the international market went up by $5 to close at $1965 per ounce against its previous day price of $1,960 per ounce.
The price of the yellow plate in the local bullion market is mostly influenced by the rates in the international market or sometimes due to the devaluation of the local currency against the American dollar.
