Gold Price up by Rs.5,700 to Settle at Rs.218,300 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After a slight decrease last day, the per tola price of the 24 karats of gold witnessed a significant increase of Rs.5,700 and was available in the market at Rs.218,300 on Thursday against its last day rates of Rs.212,600.

Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association the rates for the 10 grams of 24 karats of gold also went up by Rs.4,887 to close at Rs.187,157 from its last day price of Rs.182,270 whereas the rates for the 10 grams of 22 karats of the precious metal increased to Rs.171,561 from Rs. 167,081 on Wednesday.

Unlike last couple of days, the price of per tola and 10 grams of the white plate (silver) also increased by Rs.70 and Rs.60 to settle at Rs.2,650 Rs.2,271.94 respectively.

Gold Price in International Market

Like the local bullion market, the price of the yellow plate also went up in the international market by $54 per ounce to settle at $2052 from its last ay price of $.1,998 per ounce.

The Price of gold in the local market mostly influenced by the rates in the international market and sometime due to the change in value of local currency. Last couple of days witnessed slight decrease of US currency against Pakistani rupee, affecting the local bullion market.
