Gold Rates Up by Rs.1,800 to Settle at Rs 219,800 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: The Local bullion market observing continues upward trend for the last couple of days, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold went up by Rs 1,800 to settle at Rs 219,800 on Friday against Rs 218,000 on the previous trading day.

Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association the rates of 10 grams of 24 karats of the yellow plate also went up by Rs 1543 to settle at Rs 188,443 from its previous price of Rs 186,900 whereas the rates for the 10 grams of 22 karats of the precious metal increased to Rs 172,740 from its last day price of Rs 171,325.

However, unlike the yellow late, the price of per tola and ten grams of the white plate (silver) observed no change and remained constant at Rs.2,650 and Rs.2,271.94 respectively.

Gold Rates in International Market.

Like the local bullion market, the price of the yellow metal in the international market also witnessed an increase and went up by $19 to settle at $2,074 per ounce from its last day price of $.2,055 per ounce.

The price of gold in the local bullion market usually influenced by the price in the international market and sometime due to the change in value of local currency. Last couple of days witnessed a slight increase in the price of gold in the international market, affecting the local bullion market.
