CALIFORNIA: Google Calendar has introduced an enhanced ‘working locations’ feature, allowing users to specify their location for specific times throughout the day. This update builds upon the existing option introduced in 2021, which enabled users to set their working location for specific days of the week. The new feature aims to provide accurate availability information for individuals working in hybrid or remote settings.

The expanded feature in Google Calendar offers greater flexibility, making it easier for co-workers to plan in-person collaborations or schedule video conferences based on each person’s location. By specifying their working location throughout the day, users can ensure their availability is accurately reflected in their calendars.

How to Use New Feature in Google Calendar

To utilize this feature, users can select the “Working Location” option when creating an event in Google Calendar and choose their preferred location. They can then modify the date, time, or recurrence of the event by clicking on the relevant time element.

The update has begun rolling out to users, offering enhanced functionality and convenience for individuals managing their work schedules. With this new feature, Google Calendar aims to support seamless coordination and effective communication in various work environments.

Users can now take advantage of the improved ‘working locations’ feature, enhancing their productivity and collaboration regardless of their working arrangements.
