ISLAMABAD: Alphabet, Google’s parent company, on Monday unveiled a new chatbot tool named “Bard” that seemingly aims to compete with the mega success of ChatGPT.
In a blog post, Alphabet’s CEO Sundar Pichai said that starting Monday, Bard will be given access to testers whom the company trusts while in a few weeks it plan’s make the chatbot available to public.
In November last year, AI research startup OpenAI publicly released ChatGPT.
Bard, like ChatGPT utilizes a large language model
Like ChatGPT, Bard is centered around a large language model. These models are focused on massive troves of data available online so that in response to user prompts compelling responses can be generated.

Pichai explained that Bard aims to combine the large array of humanity’s knowledge with the intelligence, creativity and power of the company’s large language models.
He added that Bard draws on data sets from the internet to provide responses that are both high-quality and fresh.
