ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah on Monday warned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and former prime minister Imran Khan that the government will respond with full force if he announces a long march towards Islamabad.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the interior minister severely criticized the PTI chief, saying said that Imran Khan has started the culture of bringing huge crowds out on the streets. Still, the government knows how to end it.

He said that Khan was spreading anarchy in Pakistan, and his behavior was disastrous for the country.

Rana Sanaullah also spoke about the by-election held on Monday, in which Imran Khan won six of the eight National Assembly seats across the country. He said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) carried out its responsibility well, but Khan was all busy spreading propaganda about the Chief Election commissioner.

He said that the voter’s mandate should be respected and accepted. The government prioritized national interest over playing power politics.
