KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori emphasized the vital role of tourism in bolstering Pakistan’s economy and fostering cultural engagement among youth. Highlighting Pakistan’s rich diversity of tourist attractions, from ancient civilizations to picturesque landscapes, Tessori underscored the importance of projecting a positive image of the country globally.
He affirmed the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure, including roads, water, sanitation, and safety measures, crucial for promoting tourism. Tessori outlined the government’s focus on niche tourism segments such as business events, eco-tourism, and cultural experiences, aiming to attract a diverse range of visitors.
Moreover, he stressed the promotion of local cuisine as a cultural asset and advocated for stronger cultural ties with neighboring countries to strengthen bilateral relations. Tessori also praised popular tourist destinations like Murree and the valleys of Gilgit-Baltistan, highlighting their allure to international tourists.
Encouraging youth involvement, Tessori urged young Pakistanis to embrace and promote their cultural heritage and traditions, envisioning them as future leaders contributing positively to society.
