ISLAMABAD: The coordination committees of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will meet again today (Monday) to further discuss suggestions and finalize their decisions regarding the government formation, local media reported.
Earlier, the two sides met on Saturday to deliberate on several recommendations regarding government formation, and discussions progressed on various areas.
The two parties’ coordination committees extensively deliberated on suggestions from each side, concurring that forming a stable democratic government is essential for the nation at this time.
Government Formation: PPP, PML-N Leaders to Hold Final Talks Today
As per media reports, senator Ishaq Dar, Senator Azam Nazir Tarar, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan represented the PML-N at the meeting. The PPP was represented by Qamar Zaman Kaira, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Saeed Ghani, Sana Ullah Zehri, Sardar Bahadur Khan and Shuja Khan.
The development takes place as on Sunday, PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also confirmed that his father Asif Ali Zardari will be the PPP’s candidate for the slot of president of Pakistan. Similarly, PML-N announced Shehbaz Sharif as its candidate for the post of the Prime Minister while PTI had nominated Omar Ayub for the slot of PM.
