MAKKAH: The Presidency of Religious Affairs for the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has expanded its Braille Quran offerings while responding to the needs of visually impaired Umrah pilgrims and visitors during the holy Ramadan, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.

This program helps enables blind individuals to recite and contemplate the verses of the Holy Quran more easily.

The presidency has introduced electronically formatted Braille Quran, with a user-friendly interface for easy navigation through pages, chapters (Surahs), and sections.

Throughout Ramadan, the presidency prioritizes the requirements of worshippers with visual impairments, offering the electronic Quran as a convenient alternative to traditional paper versions.

Different areas in the mosque are designated to provide readily available Braille Quran books, while dedicated spaces and cabinets house electronic Quran devices with translations in different languages.

This program demonstrates the presidency’s commitment to ensuring access to the Holy Quran for all visitors and pilgrims, especially those with visual impairments.
