PESHAWAR: Militant leader Hafiz Gul Bahadur (HGB) has reportedly merged his group in banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) under a deal, sources said on Friday. It seems like to commit treason with Wazir in the area as historically TTP has been dominated by Mehsuds. Sources said that the deal will likely damage the status of Wazir in the region as everyone knows about the history of enmity between Wazirs and Mehsuds in the area.

Many observers said that it will not easy that Wazir will work and serve under Mehsuds. Analysts said it seems that the leadership of Hafiz Gul Bahadur group made the deal with banned TTP for personal financial benefits, power and many termed it an act to deceive the tribe of Wazir in the area.

Some say it could be for financial gain, others suggest it might be for power, while others believe it could be driven by selfishness.

The Wazirs have always maintained their separate identity as part of the HGB group but now it seems that the HGB has made compromise over the status of Wazirs for its own personal ambitions and benefits. Some were of the view that Hafiz Gul Bahadur made the deal for personal gains.
