Hajj 2023: Ministry Receives 16,700 Hajj Applications

ISLAMABAD: The aspirant Hajj pilgrims have submitted 16,700 applications since the submission process began on 16 March in the designated banks across the country.

According to an official from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, as many as 15,600 applications were submitted under the regular Government Hajj Scheme, while 1,100 were submitted under Sponsorship Hajj Scheme.

He said that the ratio of Hajj application receipts is increasing with every passing day, as on Tuesday, the ministry received over 6,000 applications in a single day.

Registration in sponsorship Hajj scheme

He said to register in the Sponsorship Hajj Scheme; the dues must be remitted to any dollar account of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, mentioning the applicant’s name, contact numbers, and computerized national identity card.

He added that it takes 2 to three business days to transfer money from abroad.
