MINA: The Hajj pilgrims settled in Mina on Friday to spend Tarwiyah Day, as instructed by the Prophet Mohammed Peace Be Upon Him (PBUH), the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The influx of pilgrims to Mina was accompanied by thousands of Saudi security officers from various sectors. Their mission was to monitor the influx of pilgrims to the holy site.

The movement of pilgrims to Mina was characterized by smooth ascension amid integrated services from various governmental sectors.

Earlier, today pilgrims reached Mina, marking the beginning of the Hajj rituals.

Situated seven kilometres northeast of the Grand Mosque, Mina has a significant position between Makkah and Muzdalifah. This valley, surrounded by mountains from the north and south, lies within the boundaries of the Haram. Inhabited only during the Hajj period, Mina is bordered by Jamarat Al-Aqaba on the Makkah side and Wadi Muhsir on the Muzdalifah side.

The various sectors have diligently prepared to receive the incoming pilgrims, ensuring their readiness to facilitate a peaceful experience for them as they embark on their sacred rituals.

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Media Salman bin Youssef Al-Dossary has inspected media headquarters at the holy sites where he was briefed on the preparations at the Media Ministry’s headquarters in Arafat, as well as the techniques used by the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) in covering the Hajj rituals in Arafat.

He also visited the Arafat Tower, as well, and was briefed on the SBA’s mobile television studio.

Al-Dossary also visited the media centre in Arafat, which was established by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), and which is equipped with all the needed equipment to facilitate the work of local journalists and their international partners.

He went to the ministry’s headquarters in Mina to inspect the SBA facilities, and visited SPA’s headquarters in Mina where he held a meeting with SPA personnel.

Al-Dossary underscored the significant role media professionals have played in promoting the Kingdom’s efforts to serve pilgrims. He also highlighted the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to facilitate all procedures for pilgrims, thus helping them perform the Hajj rituals with ease.
