Hajj Pilgrims Visit Historic Madinah Sites

MADINAH: Pilgrims hosted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program for Hajj and toured holy sites in Madinah on Thursday, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The pilgrims visited the sites of Battle of Uhud, Jabal al-Rumah (Mount Rumah), the Cemetery of Uhud Martyrs, and Quba Mosque. This visit is part of the cultural program created by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs for the guests during their stay in Madinah.

The visitors were also informed about the religious significance of each of the sites. Several guests expressed their gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for the services they received during the hospitality program.

These services facilitated their visit to historical Islamic sites, showed the Kingdom’s care and concern for Islam and Muslims. A total 3,322 pilgrims from 88 nations are being hosted by the program for Hajj this year. The figure includes 2,000 those pilgrims who are family members of Palestinians killed, injured, or taken prisoner by Israeli authorities.

The guests also thanked to Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh for his significant efforts in serving the program’s guests and organizing such programs and educational visits to prominent historical sites.
