Hamas’ Al-Qassam Brigades Targets Israeli Military Barracks

BEIRUT: The Palestinian Hamas group’s armed wing has said it had targeted Israeli military barracks from Lebanon with rockets, Western media reported on Monday.

The Al-Qassam Brigades in a statement, said it hit the Liman military barracks in the Western Galilee area, in response to Zionist massacres on civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah in a separate statement announced that it had targeted several Israeli military locations across the border areas with Israel.

In one statement, the group said its fighters had hit a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Hanita military site.

In another statement, Hezbollah also said it had targeted the settlements of Avivim and Mtolleh.

Tension has increased along the border between Lebanon and Israel amid exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah.

According to Gaza health ministry at least 20,674 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in unrelenting Israeli bombardments since October 7.

The UN has said that some 1.87 million Palestinians, over 80 percent of Gaza’s population, have left their homes because of the Israeli bombardment of the besieged enclave.

The Israeli raids have almost destroyed entire neighborhoods in northern Gaza. Israeli ground troops have been facing heavy resistance from Hamas fighters in the area.
