WISCONSIN, USA: During a rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Vice President Kamala Harris targeted former President Donald Trump’s stance on women’s health care, particularly criticizing his recent comments on abortion and in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Harris played clips of Trump praising the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and claiming to be the “father of IVF.”
She condemned these remarks, pointing out the harmful effects of restricting reproductive rights, including women dying from sepsis due to lack of care and couples being denied IVF treatments.
Harris argued that Trump’s policies are responsible for putting fertility treatments at risk and accused him of misunderstanding women’s health issues.
She emphasized the disconnect between Trump’s rhetoric and the real impact on women’s lives, further calling his statements “bizarre.” In closing, Harris pledged to be a president for all Americans, contrasting herself with Trump’s divisive actions and statements, including his comments on the January 6th insurrection.
