Harris to Release Medical Report Confirming Fitness for White House

WASHINGTON: Democratic White House candidate Kamala Harris is going to release a medical report confirming her fitness to be president, her campaign organizer said, aiming to put more pressure on rival Donald Trump to release his own health records.

Harris’s campaign organizer stated that the report would conclude: “Harris possesses the physical and mental resiliency needed to successfully execute the jobs of the presidency.”

Harris’s team aims to put the spotlight on the physical health and mental acuity of Trump, who has so far declined to release any detailed medical information.

Trump became the oldest presidential nominee in the history of US following 81-year-old President Joe Biden withdrew from the White House race in July.

Joe Biden passed the torch to Harris following a disastrous debate against Donald Trump raised concerns in the Democratic Party regarding his own mental sharpness.

But Trump’s apparent energy means that his age has not so far weighed against his chances in the elections, in a knife-edge battle with Kamala Harris in the November 5 elections.

The Vice President’s campaign drew attention to a recent series of articles in the New York Times that also raised concerns regarding the fact that Donald Trump had completely failed to disclose basic information regarding his health.

However, Trump insists he is completely fit, but he has not released any full medical report for his campaign.

According to AFP, If Donald Trump wins the polls in November, he would be 82 at the end of his second term in the Oval Office.
