DUBAI: American-British actress Hayley Atwell turned heads at the premiere of “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” in London this week, wearing a stunning black gown by Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi, the founder of Paris-based label Ashi Studio.
Atwell, known for her role as Grace in the film, donned a striking ensemble from Ashi Studio’s Spring/Summer 2023 couture collection. Her outfit featured a voluminous satin skirt with puffed hips and a velvet top, exuding elegance on the red carpet. Completing her look, Atwell opted for a sleek, slicked-back hairstyle.
The premiere was attended by Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Indira Varma, Vanessa Kirby, Simon Pegg, and more.
Mission: Impossible’s Premier in Middle East on June 26
The highly anticipated movie is set to have its Middle East premiere on June 26 in Abu Dhabi. Cruise, along with director Christopher McQuarrie, will be present at the screening held at the Emirates Palace.
Several scenes from the film were shot in the Liwa desert and the Midfield Terminal at Abu Dhabi’s airport. The production received support from the Abu Dhabi Film Commission and local production partners, including twofour54 Abu Dhabi. The crew spent nearly two weeks filming in the emirate in 2021.
Khalfan Al-Mazrouei, acting director-general of the Creative Media Authority, expressed his pride in hosting the premiere, emphasizing Abu Dhabi’s position as one of the top film and TV locations in the Middle East and North Africa region. He noted the successful collaboration with the iconic “Mission: Impossible” franchise, showcasing Abu Dhabi’s ability to accommodate large-scale and intricate productions.
In “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” Ethan Hunt (played by Cruise) and his IMF team embark on a mission to prevent a devastating new weapon from falling into the wrong hands. With the world’s fate hanging in the balance and past adversaries resurfacing, a thrilling global race begins. Hunt is confronted by a formidable and enigmatic enemy, forcing him to prioritize his mission above all else, even the lives of those he holds dear.
