ISLAMABAD: Heatwave conditions are likely to continue over most plain parts of Pakistan during the next two days, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said. While gusty winds and dust storms are likely during the afternoon. However, partly cloudy weather with light rain-thunderstorm may occur at isolated areas in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) during the evening and night.

According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), dry with partly cloudy weather is likely in Leh, Anantnag, Pulwama, Baramula and Shopian, while hot and dry weather in Srinagar and very hot and dry weather in Jammu.

During the last 24 hours, hot weather prevailed over most areas of Pakistan. However, light rain and drizzle occurred at isolated places in GB. Mohenjo Daro remained the hottest area in the country on Sunday with temperature surging up to 52 degrees Celsius.
