ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission has invited applications for the Afghan Short Documentary Contest. All enthusiastic Afghan students studying in Pakistan under Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships are encouraged to submit a short documentary video sharing their higher education experiences using smartphones or high-resolution cameras.
Sources in HEC said that the short documentary contesting them is “Education Experiences of Afghan Youth studying in Pakistan”.
The students must present a genuine original idea-based documentary no longer than forty-sixty seconds.
HEC’s instructions
While in step two, the jury members will shortlist the top ten Afghan students’ entries to showcase and will inform them and their universities’ nominated Public Relations Officers.
The deadline to submit applications is 21 February 2023, while the top ten shortlisted candidates will be announced on 24 February 2023. The final documentary will be submitted on 10 March 2023.
The event will be tentatively held on 15 or 17 March 2023.
